Earth Week 2023
April 22, 2023, marks 52 years of communities coming together for Earth Day. This year, Red Lodge's Earth Week will feature a variety of opportunities for all ages to get involved. April 21-29th will be a week packed full of activities celebrating the Earth!
Schedule of Activities:
Friday, April 21st
- The High School Green Team will host a clothing swap for the community
- Located at the RLHS CTE Center: 2pm-4:30pm
Sunday, April 23rd
- Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary: Art is due at the Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary for the Earth Day Art Contest.
- Speaker Series from 1pm-3pm. Free with regular admission.
MonDAY, april 24th
- Pride Park: Families of all ages are welcome to come build birdhouses for mountain bluebirds
- 4pm-5pm
TuesDAY, april 25th
- Roosevelt Center: Come to the Youth Garden by the parking lot of the Roosevelt Center to see a composting demonstration and learn how to create healthy living soil
- 3pm-4pm
WednesDAY, april 26TH
- Mountain View Elementary and Roosevelt Middle School: Pam Schwend will host a variety of educational games for the schools on how to identify and get rid of different weeds found in Carbon County
- 8:25am-1:30pm
thurSDAY, april 27TH
- Hero Steam Center: Visit the Hero STEAM Center to learn more about different opportunities to improve your home's energy efficiency through the Inflation Reduction Act
- 11am-2pm
FriDAY, APril 28th
- City Nature Challenge begins! Come to the Roosevelt Center to learn how to use iNaturalist and take a tour through town to practice identifying different organisms
SATURDAY, APRIL 30TH
- Parks Clean-Up, 9-11am
- Earth Day Block Party, 12pm-2pm
